    Year 7 Admissions and Appeals

    The John Fisher School is a voluntary aided, all-ability, Catholic school for boys. The school is conducted as a Catholic school in accordance with the Code of Canon Law promulgated by the Apostolic See and teachings of the Catholic Church.

    The Governing Body, acting through its Admissions Committee, will admit 189 boys (30 of which are from the Sutton Deanery) each year at age 11 without regard to aptitude or ability. The Governors, in applying this Admissions Policy, will ensure that it conforms to the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (2005).

    The John Fisher School is part of the Pan London Coordinated Admissions Scheme for secondary admissions. Applicants must complete their Home Local Authority Common Application Form (CAF) and return it to their Home Local Authority by the closing date. Sutton’s CAF is available in Sutton’s Transfer from Primary to Secondary School booklet or online at www.sutton.gov.uk/education/admissions. If an applicant wishes to apply for a place, The John Fisher School must be named as one of the preferences on the CAF. Applicants should also complete The John Fisher School Supplementary Information Form (to enable the Governors to apply their admission criteria), which is available from the school and from the London Borough of Sutton on their website. Without the Supplementary Information Form, the Governors can only consider the application after all those with Supplementary Information Forms have been considered.

     

    Applications for September 2021 year 7 

    Currently we are unable to accept visitors on site to collect or deliver application forms. Our  Admissions Policy, Supplementary Information  Form ( SIF) and Parish Priest Reference for applications for 2021 are available to download. Please complete the documents, scan and return with a copy of your son's original Baptism certificate to:

    admissions@johnfisherschool.org.

    Alternatively applications can be posted for the attention of the Admissions Secretary to the school address ( we strongly recommend postal applications are sent via registered post )

    We will also be running  "drop off " sessions on Friday 25th September 1.30-4.30 and Saturday 10th October 8.45-12 noon (some further dates to be added in October  half term.) These  drop of sessions will  allow  parents/carers to deliver completed  application forms by hand  if they are not able to send via email or post. 

    Secondary School application deadline is  31st October 2020

    To apply for a place at The John Fisher School, please complete the supplementary form and Parish Priest reference form. The same form may be used for mid term applications yr 7-11 if you are applying for year 10 and above further information will be required please contact the admissions secretary at admissions@johnfisherschool.org
