The John Fisher School has a long tradition of working with the local community. As a faith school, we believe it is important to work and support those around us.
The school has wonderful facilities which we share with local primary school Laleham Lea, who run PE lessons, matches and their sports day on our fields. We work closely with many others schools, whether they are the local primary schools in Roundshaw or St. Giles, a special state funded school for boys and girls. Our students run workshops, assemblies and sports days, as well as undertake work experience placements.
As the school continues to get involved in the Purley BID, we also grow our relationships with external organisations and businesses. The School now has a range of 'commercial partners'. These are like minded businesses which have similar aims and ethos to the school. Our partners help to support the activities at school, whether this is sponsoring sports teams, letting us use their facilities for our art exhibition or offering discounts to our staff and parents. We hope to continue to build these relationships with other members of the community.
