A great turnout of around 40 Old Boys made a very pleasant environment in The Baskerville, South Croydon. The Old Boys present were made up of a range of ages and a great deal of chatting, drinking and reminiscing took place under the watchful eye of former Head, Pat Liddiard. Current staff were also present as a nice buffet was enjoyed by all.
The day had been a fairly balanced affair, with around half the JFS teams winning that morning. However, things were soon to sour slightly. A gritty and passionate display from JFS was not enough to beat the Whitgift team who ran out winners with a 15-8 score line. That being said, JFS were up at half time and Whitgift score with the last play of the game. A great performance and one which is astonishing when you think of the budget Whitgift spend on sport.
A great day for Fisher all round
